A comparison installs directly between these two photographs, where a woman tries to embody a pin-up similar to Gil Elvgren’s illustrations. Here, she plays with exaggeration the sensual young woman by frontally teasing the viewer with evocative surprise, despite an offset body. There, she allows herself a break by receding the sham of continuing seduction that is associated with women. When one succumbs to the temptation of an appearance sensuality, the other comes off the constraint of a domestic comedy.
